This season we are responding to the increasing need for nutritious food access across the Hudson Valley.

Safe food is a basic human right and it should be free.

We are using our resource to redirect healthy food to folks living, serving and healing, prioritizing those working in agriculture, hospitality and healing spaces.

We send love and gratitude to the farmers & producers who show up to partner with us week by week making our distribution bags possible.

How it works:

We distribute free organic “Earth Food Bags” containing:

  • Bread

  • Cheese

  • Protein

  • Seasonal produce

  • Pre-prepared item

We distribute these to the free fridges, community spaces, folks workplaces, direct to home.

If you or someone you know would like to recieve a bag,

A commitment to nourishing the village:

Lunchbar brings affordable, nutritional, natural free & delicious meals to everyBODY!

We work to explore a model that can expand food access across our community.

We do this in 4 ways;

1.We partner with local farmers and suppliers to access natural ingredients;

Our farming and wholesale partners provide us with surplus produce at low to no cost. This helps reduce food waste in our community and redirects high quality produce to sectors of the market who traditionally lack access to this nutrient dense food.

We only access produce grown without synthetic chemicals, livestock raised ethically and we do not use ingredients that contain artificial additives.

2. We are committed to capped profits

Our retail partners cap the profits they can make from each meal at $2 per meal.

All meals are $4 for us to make, we sell them to retail partners for $6 and they sell them for $8.

We can do this thanks to the beloved mutual aid network across the Hudson Valley that keep our production costs reduced.

3. We learn from the wind and believe change is constant.

Like the wind, we move with agility and are ready to shift direction when circumstances call for it. Staying adaptable means the way we serve food changes with the seasons. This keeps us listening and responding to the resources available and the evolving needs of our community, rather than staying fixed in one approach.

4. We share our resources with the mutual aid network.

If we have excess meals or produce available, they’re quickly moved into the mutual aid network, uplifting our food access partners who provide free food weekly.

With this partnership of resource exchange Lunchbar is able to stock the free fridge network with healthy food more often.
